Privacy notice
This notice describes the free BoomScrolling beta, a Fort Rock Media product, effective November 6, 2026. Contact info@shaneneeley.com with privacy questions or requests.
What is saved
ChatGPT sign-in supplies a stable account identifier and may supply your email and display name. We use that identity to open the right workspace. Saved workspace data includes the clips and source text you add, drafts, preferences, private reactions, skipped responses, viewing events and any approval or handoff history. Viewing events record the source, session, date and a bounded amount of visible reading time to help vary what you see.
Your browser may also hold local work, preferences and unfinished editor text. Importing earlier browser work into your signed-in workspace is an explicit action. Do not put sensitive personal or confidential information in the beta.
How information is used
We use this information to save and restore your work, personalize source ordering and drafts, honor your choices, provide support and protect account boundaries. Your workspace is not a public profile. We do not sell workspace data or use it for targeted advertising. Support or maintenance may require authorized operator access.
Hosting and outside services
BoomScrolling runs on OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare storage and hosting. These providers process information to deliver the service. Source images may load directly from X’s media hosts, which receive the network information needed to serve them.
Opening a source or composer sends you to X. Choosing “Draft in ChatGPT” puts the selected source text, link and drafting instructions in a ChatGPT URL and sends them to ChatGPT when opened. These services have their own terms and privacy controls. On-device drafting, when your browser already supports it, uses that browser’s model. General customer X API access and hosted AI generation are not enabled in this beta.
If you previously connected X, we store its account identifier, handle, permission scope and encrypted credentials to operate that connection. Disconnecting removes local credentials and attempts revocation; use X’s connected-app settings if revocation cannot be confirmed. Historical purchases retain payment and entitlement references; card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored in your workspace.
If you choose a paid plan when offered at Checkout, we also retain Stripe customer, Checkout, subscription and event references, payment-access state and usage reservations to apply its limits, reconcile billing and handle support. The subscription terms describe that plan. X account and read access require your separate authorization.
Your controls and retention
In Profile → Data and tools, use “Export workspace” to download your saved workspace. Settings lets you remove eligible clips and clear editable workspace content. Approved, handed-off or protected history is retained; clearing editable content is not account deletion. The export excludes provider credentials and separate provider records.
There is no automatic age-based purge of saved workspace data or protected history in this beta. To request access, correction or deletion, email info@shaneneeley.com. We will verify the request and explain the information that can be removed and any necessary legal, security or transaction retention. Automated full-account deletion and immediate erasure from backups are not available.
To remove browser-only copies, clear this site’s browser storage after exporting anything you need. This does not delete the signed-in server workspace. Disconnecting X does not remove content you already published on X.
Questions and updates
The beta is for adults. Please contact us if you believe a child’s information or someone else’s private information has been submitted. Material changes to these practices will be explained in the service.
